👋 About Us
We’re Tara and Matt - a married couple embarking on the next chapter as our child goes off to college. We’ve always been travel enthusiasts, but now have more time and energy to do longer travel stints. As for the purpose behind this blog, well, I’m not sure really. We’re not travel agents, we’re not trying to sell anything, instead, I think we do cool stuff and want to share some of our travel successes (and failures) so that others can benefit from our experience. Our goal is to offer helpful real-world tips for fellow exporers. We’re fortunate to have jobs that allow us to work and travel at the same time, letting us be able to spend a week or a month or more at a time on different adventures. We’ve been to 49 of 50 US states, and over 30 countries, and 29 national Parks. We do a mix of budget and lux travel.

About me:
- I’m the planner and organizer, I’m usually planning the next trip while on the airplane coming back from the current trip.
- I’m happiest on a beach somewhere.
- One of my superpowers are finding good hotel deals, and maximising credit card and airline miles.
- Likes - luxury hotels, Cities, Good food, Beach, Outdoors (If there’s a good view)

About me:
- I’m the adventure seeker, up for anything.
- I’ll sit on the beach if i have to, but more likely you’ll find me on a paddleboard.
- Likes - Skiing, Running, Hiking, Outdoors (but not camping… Glamping?), Street food
We value curiosity, respect for local cultures, and thoughtful storytelling. We tend to seek out authentic experiences, we avoid organized tours, instead perferring to find our own way.
